The bill also says that, “(b) A LOCAL GOVERNMENT MAY ENACT AN ORDINANCE, REGULATION, OR OTHER LAW THAT PERMITS A PERSON TO CARRY A FIREARM AT PLACE DESCRIBED IN SUBSECTION (1)(b) OF THIS SECTION.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I asked the Weld County attorney to draft an emergency ordinance for consideration by the Weld Board of County Commissioners so our citizens will not have their second amendment rights infringed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I believe it is utterly asinine that the general assembly can pass a piece of legislation that infringes Second Amendment rights and now we have to respond by passing an ordinance that protects them. God-given rights are constitutionally protected. There needn’t be affirmation from local government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
