What JamesForWeld.com is…<\/summary>\n

It is a personally owned and maintained website of Weld County Commissioner Scott James. In fact, I maintain everything myself, so it is goofy typing about myself in the third person. <\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

What JamesForWeld.com is not…<\/summary>\n

This IS NOT an official Weld County Government website. No taxpayer dollars are being used to develop, host, or maintain this website. As mentioned above, it is owned and maintained by me. <\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

Why do you maintain JamesForWeld.com?<\/summary>\n

When I initially ran for County Commissioner in 2018, it served as my campaign website. It served the same purpose when I ran for re-election in 2022. If I decide to pursue office again, it will serve that same purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The intent of this website now is to serve as a communications tool for the people I represent and the general public. It offers information about me personally and about my tasks and responsibilities as a Weld County Commissioner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Opinions offered here are my own and are not the stated opinions or positions of Weld County government, the Weld Board of County Commissioners, nor any other board, commission, or organization I serve. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you have and engage with social media?<\/summary>\n

Yes and no. I have social media and it is linked throughout this website. I rarely engage it because it has become too much. Too much bombast. Too much yelling. Too little listening and communicating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I will share content from this website on social media, but I do not respond to comments or replies. My contact information is listed throughout this website, specifically HERE<\/a>, and I am pleased to communicate via phone, email, and (gasp) in person.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

Please know this…<\/summary>\n

I am a 40 year communications professional. I like to communicate, educate, create understanding, and build consensus. I keep this website in hopes of doing just that. You may not agree with my positions and decisions, but it is my hope that you will understand how I arrived at my conclusions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will likely find a lot of what I post here lengthy and deep in the weeds. That is by design because I believe the details matter and absolute transparency is my goal.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
