Welcome back to Jesus and the Average Joe! Today marks Day 7 of our 365-day journey to thrive in 2025. This week, we’ve been reflecting on God’s presence, and today’s verse, Matthew 28:20, is a powerful reminder that His companionship is eternal.

Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

Jesus, in Matthew 28:20

Life is full of transitions, uncertainties, and even goodbyes, but God’s presence is constant. When Jesus spoke these words in Matthew 28:20, He wasn’t just addressing His disciples—He was speaking to all of us, promising to walk with us forever.

I’ve experienced seasons of uncertainty where I felt unmoored, like starting a new job or moving to a new community. The one thing that grounded me was this verse: “I am with you always.”

Jesus’ promise of eternal companionship isn’t based on circumstances. It’s based on His unchanging love and commitment to us. Whether you’re celebrating a victory or navigating a storm, He is there—guiding, comforting, and strengthening you.

You don’t walk through life alone. Jesus is with you always, not just when things are easy but in every challenge and triumph. Let that truth give you peace and courage today.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for Your promise to be with me always. When I feel uncertain or afraid, remind me of Your constant presence. Help me to walk confidently in Your love and guidance. Amen.

Challenge:

Write down Matthew 28:20 and place it somewhere you’ll see it daily. Let it remind you of God’s eternal companionship in every moment.
