On September 8, 1996, I was attending Iasis Christ Fellowship with my then fiance, Julie, when Pastor Johnny Square gave an alter call. I stood up. “You just set a lot of people free,” said Pastor Square.
I have never understood what he said, but somehow I have always believed that I need to share my often zig-zagged, sometimes advancing, sometimes retreating, walk with the Lord. I sin and fall short of the glory of God. I am no theologian. No Biblical scholar. Certainly no pastor. I’m just a guy – an Average Joe – who loves being loved by the Keeper of the Stars and who feels compelled to occasionally share that walk. I’ll do so here.
