DPS Flouts Civil Rights with “All-Gender” Bathrooms and Blames Trump Administration

Written by Scott K. James

DPS defies Title IX with “all-gender” bathrooms, then cries “hostile administration.” The real hostility is toward kids and common sense.

Denver Public Schools has found itself in the crosshairs of the Trump administration’s Department of Education, which concluded that DPS violated Title IX by converting a girls’ restroom at East High School into an “all-gender” bathroom. Federal officials said the policy denied female students equal access and created a hostile environment, with complaints already filed. DPS Superintendent Alex Marrero fired back, claiming the district would “protect all of our students from this hostile administration” and doubling down on its commitment to “equity” over federal law. Translation: obeying the law is optional when you’ve got a social justice script.

The feds gave DPS ten days to fix the mess or face enforcement action. Marrero, meanwhile, insisted the findings were baseless, dismissed the investigation as incomplete, and reassured LGBTQ+ students that the district stands firmly behind them. Parents and students who object? Enjoy your walk to a bathroom “elsewhere.”

The Bullet Point Brief

  • The Department of Education ruled DPS violated Title IX by forcing girls to give up privacy for “all-gender” restrooms. That’s not inclusion, that’s discrimination.
  • Female students complained they were denied equal access, yet DPS’s solution was to tell them to go find another restroom. Classic “equality,” DPS-style.
  • Superintendent Marrero declared he would shield students from a “hostile administration,” ignoring the obvious hostility his policy created toward actual girls.
  • DPS bragged about “leading for Equity at every level,” as if slogans magically override civil rights law. Spoiler: they don’t.
  • Federal officials warned the district to comply within ten days or face enforcement. DPS responded with moral grandstanding and zero accountability.

My Bottom Line

Tranny madness is alive and well in Colorado’s largest school district. DPS openly violates civil rights law, then pretends it’s the Trump administration that’s hostile. Let’s get real. The only hostility here is DPS’s contempt for the protection of children, biological truth, and yes, Biblical truth. Parents in Denver keep tolerating this harmful madness while administrators dress up lawbreaking as compassion.

At some point, moms and dads have to wake up and realize that DPS isn’t protecting their kids; it’s sacrificing them on the altar of ideology. Civil rights aren’t negotiable, and no amount of rainbow-wrapped press releases can cover that up.

And let’s be blunt: biology is not a social construct. Genesis says God created them male and female, and no superintendent’s press release will rewrite that. DPS claims to be “leading for Equity,” but what they are leading is children away from the truth and into confusion. That is not equity, that is deception.

When a school district teaches kids to ignore the truth written in both their DNA and in Scripture, it is not progressive, it is destructive. Parents have a God-given duty to protect their children from wolves in sheep’s clothing. DPS can dress it up with slogans, but their policies are hostile to the very order and design of creation itself.
