So here’s the circus: on June 20, federal ICE agents rolled up on a Denver‐area home to arrest José Reyes León-Deras—a Salvadoran national wanted for child rape in Italy—only to have the Colorado Rapid Response Network’s self-appointed “legal observers” tip him off with bullhorns, cheer him on, and celebrate on Facebook that they’d “legally” thwarted a lawful arrest .
Unbelievable. These keyboard warriors—too scared to face real danger—rush in to sabotage justice for a fugitive accused of one of the most vile crimes imaginable. And they’re patting themselves on the back for it? Give me a break. Every second León-Deras is on the loose, our neighborhoods are a little less safe—and these sanctimonious do-gooders are busy tweeting victory laps.
US Border Czar Tom Homan should treat these clowns like what they are: accessories to obstruction of justice. They didn’t just “protest”—they actively aided a child rapist in slipping away from federal custody. If there’s any shred of accountability left in this state, these protesters belong in cuffs, not headlines.
And don’t give me that “sanctuary” song and dance. Colorado can’t have it both ways—either you’re a law-and-order state, or you’re a haven for fugitives. President Trump’s 2016 threat to slash federal funds from sanctuary cities wasn’t a bully tactic; it was a sanity check. We need that same backbone here: defund jurisdictions that empower vigilante obstructionists and remind everyone that breaking the law has consequences.
Meanwhile, good citizens are left wondering: if you’ll side with a child rapist over federal agents, what’s next? Armed mob blocking DUI checkpoints? Protesters interfering with rape kits? This isn’t noble dissent—it’s criminal collusion.
So here’s the bottom line, Tom Homan: haul these radical agitators into court, slap them with every obstruction charge on the books, and send a message that this crap won’t fly in the United States, even in Polis’ sanctuary state. God bless President Trump for demanding real accountability—and let’s get these wannabe heroes out of our communities and behind bars where they belong.
