The article title comes from a fact in the article. So why do we tolerate it. Tell me inflation is not real and tell me this does not impact regular folks. It does.

My take: Green energy is not a solution, it’s a grift. Companies get fat on subsidies while consumers pay more. The real solution is making our current energy sources cleaner and more efficient. Read natural gas. Read nuclear.

One of the main issues with green energy is the fact that companies often receive subsidies or tax breaks from the government to produce it. This means that they are able to make profits without having to compete in the open market like other industries. As a result, these companies may become complacent and less motivated to innovate and improve their products.

Meanwhile, consumers end up paying higher prices for green energy because of these subsidies.

You can’t count on it. It costs too much. So why does Guv Polis seem so hell bent to mandate it?

What I am reading: Biden’s green-energy price shock on the op-ed page of the Wall Street Journal. My five bullet point summary:

  • The article suggests that the Biden administration’s green energy plans are already causing a rise in electricity prices, negatively impacting consumers.
  • There’s an emphasis on the Labor Department’s report which shows rising inflation, worsening the economic hardships many American families face.
  • The article criticizes the administration for overlooking the impacts of transitioning to green energy, especially in the loss of jobs in traditional energy sectors.
  • The piece points out this policy’s potential to harm US competitiveness globally by making it more expensive to manufacture goods domestically.
  • Lastly, the article underscores the gap between the Administration’s green energy rhetoric and the reality of its execution, warning that consumers will bear the brunt of these policies.
